Used 1964 Oldsmobile Starfire for sale in Houston, Texas

Up for sale in our Houston showroom is one jaw dropping 1964 Oldsmobile Starfire. The Oldsmobile division of General Motors produced the Starfire in three non-contiguous generations ranging from 1954-1956 1961-1966 and 1975 until finishing up in 1980. This particular Starfire is part of the second generation and was intended to compete in the personal luxury car market as a full-sized automobile. The 1964 model appeared very similar to the 1963. Curb weight was down but overall length was up to 215.3 inches (5468.6 mm). Sales dropped further to 13753 coupes (down 36%) and 2410 convertibles (down 45%). The Starfire now shared its basic bodyshell with the new and lower-priced Jetstar I hardtop coupe which competed directly against the Pontiac Grand Prix. The Jetstar also used the Starfires 345 hp (257 kW) 394 cu in (6.5 l) Ultra High Compression Rocket V8 but had a price tag that was over $500 lower than the Starfire due to the use of a vinyl bucket seat interior and the fact that many Starfire standard features were optional on the Jetstar including Hydra-Matic transmission power steering and brakes. Front seat belts were now standard. This beautiful example of the Starfire is equipped with a massive numbers matching 395 C.I.D V8 and a 3 speed automatic transmission that was set aside for this particular Oldsmobile. This gorgeous thing cleans up real well and the White coated exterior looks phenomenal in the sun and is accompanied by a Hunter Green vinyl interior. The options on this 64â??
