This 1965 Chevrolet Malibu SS tribute is for sale in our Louisville KY showroom. 1965 was an exciting time at GM. The year before they released the Chevelle/Malibu SS as well as the GTO midsized 2 door sport coupes with powerful V8 motors. They were not only an instant success but they opened a whole new market that we now recognize as muscle cars. This 1965 is an actual Malibu V8 car from the factory which are getting harder and harder to find. The body panels are original to the car and are as straight as I have seen. The laser red paint is of the highest quality and compliments the square lines of this Chevelle nicely. Finished off with multiple coats of clear the finish on this 65 looks like a mirror. Pop the fiberglass cowl hood and you will see the heart of the beast a 496 cubic inch crate motor from Jegs. The warranty yes I said warranty still has almost a year left on it. Balanced & blueprinted this monster puts out an astonishing 575 HP and a house moving 600 FT LBS of torque. With the aluminum heads there is nothing on this crate motor that is stock. Just in case the dual exhaust with all of that power nothing but the best transmission would do. A custom built B&M turbo 400 was installed with a line lock just in case you want to do some big nasty burn outs. With the huge drag radials on the back getting all of that power to the ground will not be any problem. The 12 bolt rear end has been packed with a set of 3.50 gears and Detroit locker for full on two wheel madness. The interior has been tastefully done as well remaining basically stock for the most part with the two bucket seats separated by the custom shifter. If you want to go to the strip and then win a trophy on the way home this car is for you.
