For sale is a 2001 J&J Rear Engine Top Dragster located in our Indianapolis Showroom. This unbelievable dragster just went through a complete overhaul and is ready to send its next owner down the track at over 200 MPH. The rebuild started with taking the 235 wheelbase J&J chassis all the way down and sent off for powder coating along with other associated chassis components. It also received all new rod ends and grade 8 bolts throughout the build. The outer sheet metal and rear wing were also sent off to be professionally repainted in a deep vibrant metallic red color with black and white accent strips down the side.This 2001 J&J Rear Engine Top Dragster is powered by its Aluminum 496 CID Blown Alcohol V8 engine backed by a Reid 2-speed automatic transmission and running to a Ford 9 rear end with 3.88 gears. The 496 CID V8 is coming off a fresh rebuild completed last year with no runs on the engine yet. The engine build started with an aluminum Keith Black Water Block with a 4.25 sleeved bore New Main and Rod Bearings along with New Piston Rings 4.375 Stroker Special Callies Crank Shaft 12.4 Compression Venolia Pistons with 87cc chambers 6.0875 length Brooks Connecting Rods Crane Roller Camshaft Ken Veney Aluminum Heads Mallory Distributor Milodon Timing Gear Drive Keith Black High Volume Oil Pump Milodon 10 Quart Oil Pan with Swinging Pickup and topped with a freshened up 1471 Littlefield Blower! This impressive combination of components puts out an estimated 2300 Horsepower! With all that horsepower a Reid 2-Speed transmission was selected and fitted with a Coan ProMod Torque Converter that is rated to handle 3500 horsepower. Outback a is a rebuilt Mark Williams Ford 9 rear end with a 3.88 gear set that puts the power to the sticky 33/16.0/15 Hoosier Drag slicks. Some other nice new additions to this Top Dragster include: New Parachutes 15 Gallon Fuel Tank New Fuel Lines Wilwood High Speed Disk Brakes and Calipers New Brake Lines New Precision Performance Shifter and Custom Cable New Seat Belts New Autometer Pro Comp Gauges and Custom Dash and all new wiring and electronics.
