VEHICLE DESCRIPTION

Used 1970 Plymouth Road Runner for sale in Phoenix, Arizona

Gateway Classic Cars of Scottsdale is honored to present for sale, on consignment, this rare and highly optioned 1970 Plymouth Road Runner Convertible. In 1970 a total of 824 convertibles were built and of those, only 179 were 4 speeds and if that isnt cool enough, only 40 came with the Air Grabber hood option! According to the owner, the mileage on the odometer is true at 68,000 making this extremely collectible. Included with the car a copy of the original window sticker from a dealership in Mishawaka Indiana! The owner reported that this is a 3 owner car with the second owner having it in his possession for 50 years. Claimed to be one of the highest optioned 383, 4 speed Road Runners around. The FE5 Rallye Red paint is in great shape and the Hood Performance Paint Treatment really sets off the overall look of the exterior. The white top is eye catching but its impossible for your eyes to not be drawn to the Transverse Dust Trail Stripe in Gold running down the sides of the car with that iconic Road Runner posted up at the front of the fenders. The white interior is highlighted by the Pistol Grip Shifter, Center Console, Tic Toc Tachometer, Air Grabber Fresh Air Package, Driver Side Remote Mirror, AM 8 Track Radio with updated FM Capability, Glove Box Light, Trunk Light, Map Courtesy Light, Ash Tray Light, Time Delay Ignition Light, Fender Mounted Turn Signals and 3 Speed Windshield Wipers. Other features of the Decor Group option include Custom Vinyl, B-Pillar Molding, Bright Armrest Bases and Bright Door Panels. The 383 V8, sends power through a 4 Speed Manual Trans and power is put to the ground through a 8 3/4 Sure Grip 3:23 Rear End. Power Disc Brakes up front bring confidence when running that 383 through the gears. Power Steering makes navigating turns and curves an effortless task. The information above was provided by the owner and not verified by Gateway Classic Cars.
