VEHICLE DESCRIPTION

Used 1970 Ford Mustang for sale in Alpharetta, Georgia

Gateway Classic Cars of Atlanta is proud to represent this smooth running and driving 1970 Ford Mustang Mach 1! The Ford Mustang is a series of American automobiles manufactured by Ford. In continuous production since 1964, the Mustang is currently the longest-produced Ford car nameplate. Currently in its sixth generation, it is the fifth-best selling Ford car nameplate. The namesake of the pony car automobile segment, the Mustang was developed as a highly styled line of sporty coupes and convertibles derived from existing model lines. The Ford Mustang Mach 1 is a performance-oriented option package of the Ford Mustang muscle car, originally introduced in August 1968 for the 1969 model year. It was available until 1978, returned briefly in 2003, 2004, and most recently in 2021.Nearly everything underneath has been replaced on the fastback, and this car runs and drives exactly how you would want a 1970 Mach 1 to respond. Under the hood is a 351-cubic-inch M-Code Cleveland V8 mated to a 4-Speed Manual Transmission with a Hurst Shifter. The 351C 4V (M code) engine featured 11.0:1 compression and produced 300 HP at 5400 rpm. Rest assure that this beast has plenty of records to support years of careful ownership, and the cherry on top is the Holley CFM 750 from a Cobra Jet car! Resprayed in Dark Green over a Black Vinyl upholstered bucket seats. If you are in the market for a well-kept and very capable 1970 body style mustang, this Mach 1 is a serious candidate!
