The ORIGINAL Sting Ray. First introduced in 1963, the C2 Corvette sported the Sting Ray badge throughout its entire- yet short-lived - 5 years production span. The C2 was a such a dramatic jump from the first generation Corvette that it prompted the new badging. The front-end received a complete redesign, removing the fixed headlamps and exposed grill. The Corvette was given a new fastback-like design, and a continued upgrade in power under the hood. This 66 Sting Ray is a true gem. Pearl silver exterior... quite possibly the greatest look for a C2. It really brings out the beauty of those rounded body lines, and suits the space-age, retro futuristic styling. The interior is silver as well, and it is absolutely remarkable. The trim plate reads trim code 426, and paint code 986. Per the owner, the radio and power antenna have been replaced. Plus an aluminum radiator, so the engine runs cool and smooth! The 327 motor is mated to a 4-speed manual transmission.
