Front power disc brakes give this Javelin the feel of a serious sports cars! This high compression 4 Barrel 390 V8 is believed to put down around 325hp. Additionally, the story of the Mark Donohue Javelin is fascinating, making this example an interesting buy. This Javelin is singed on the dash by Mark Donahues son. Documenting an original Mark Donohue car is difficult, because theres basically no way to confirm it other than the window sticker and other dealer paperwork. Nothing in the vehicle identification number or door data tag identifies it; and while some AMC diehards insist a number 4 typed in the ASC (Automatic Speed Control) box on the build sheet is a sure sign of the Donohue package, because the 1970 Javelin wasnt offered with ASC, it has never been verified.
