VEHICLE DESCRIPTION

Used 1998 Chevrolet Monte Carlo for sale in Phoenix, Arizona

Gateway Classic Cars of Scottsdale is pleased to present for sale, on consignment, this 1 of 6, 1998 Chevrolet Monte Carlo GM-built NASCAR Series Pace Car! It was reported to us that out of the 6 built, only 2 were titled to be street legal. The front and rear composite fenders have been widened to accommodate the custom widened factory wheels. The body was then covered in a Warner Brothers Tasmanian Devil themed graphic specific to this Pace Car. Additionally the Primestar 500 decals are showcased as this was THE Pace Car out on the track for the race at Texas Speedway (1997), Indianapolis Speedway (1997), New Hampshire Raceway (1997), Charlotte Motor Speedway (1997), Phoenix International Raceway(1998), Las Vegas Motor Speedway (1998), Bristol Motor Speedway(1998), Las Vegas 400 (1999) and the Texas 500 (1999). Other unique features include the NASCAR series seat belts and raceway strobe lights front and rear. Standard options include A/C, Aluminum Wheels, AM/FMCD Radio, Cruise Control, Driver/Passenger Airbags, Leather Interior, Lumbar Support, Power Brakes, Power Locks, Power Seats, Power Steering, Power Windows, Rear Defrost, Tilt Steering and Traction Control. The 3.8 Liter V6 is mated to a 4 speed automatic transmission and believed to have just 3175 miles on the whole car. This car is a must have for your NASCAR collection as rumor has it that the light damage on the rear bumper was caused by a certain Earnhardt who liked to bump the Pace Car before the race started (this is not confirmed). Call or email our sales staff today to learn more about the purchase process so you can bring this piece of history home to your collection.
