Your eyes dont deceive you, this Ford is powered by a 345 cubic inch DeSoto Hemi V8, believed to be 1 of about 1,950 produced! The Hemi is wearing a pair of 4-bbl carburetors, and the only modification from stock came during a rebuild in 2015 as the addition of a spin-on oil filter. A 3-speed manual transmission sourced from a LaSalle puts the driver in control of the gears, and power is sent to the rear 3.53 open differential. The engine has been in this Ford for a long time, as the current owner purchased the car in the late 50s for only $10, and swapped the engine in themselves! In 1960 he sold the car, only to be reunited with it in 1995. The Ford is painted a beautiful Bright Red Metallic over what is believed to be an all-steel body.
