Used 2012 Chevrolet Camaro for sale in Olathe, Kansas
Seeing production for the first time since 1969, the 2012 Chevrolet Camaro COPO Drag Car was the first year Chevy brought back the COPO nameplate in over 40 years! Building only 69 examples in 2012, the exact number of ZL-1 COPO Camaros made in 1969. COPO, or Central Office Production Order, was Chevys high performance special-order system used in the 1960s by dealers to build high performance models. The 2012 COPO Camaro is not a not-street-legal drag car, with the sole purpose of competing in NHRAs Stock Eliminator and Super Stock classes. This put the 2012 COPO Camaro in direct competition with the Ford Mustang Cobra Jet and the Dodge Challenger Drag Pak. The 2012 COPO Camaro, starting at $89,000, had three engine options to choose from: a naturally aspirated 427ci V8, a 327ci V8 with a 2.9L supercharger, and a 327ci V8 with a 4.0L supercharger. This example is powered by the naturally aspirated 427 ci V8.The owner states this COPO has never seen the race track, or hardly been driven at all. Although no odometer was installed on these COPO Camaros, the condition of the car speaks for itself. Because these are purpose built drag cars, features like climate control, turn signals, radio, etc. are absent.
