When first introduced in 1964 as a performance package for the Cutlass, the 4-4-2 designation referred to 4 speed manual transmission, 4-barrel carburetor and dual exhaust.... Oldsmobiles ingredients for performance. Over the years that meaning changed a bit but in its final years the transmission was a 4-speed automatic with overdrive, and it still had a 4-barrel carburetor and dual exhaust outlet. Only 4,208 442s were produced in 1987. This 442 comes with a clean Carfax, and original window sticker. New black cherry paint and decals, with a Hurst spoiler on the rear to give it a sporty look. Under the hood is a 307 HO with a rebuilt carb. Putting power to the new BF Goodrich tires is a freshly rebuilt 200-4R Automatic with a TCI shift kit.
