Gateway Classic Cars of Charlotte is proud to list this super-clean 2005 Pontiac GTO for sale.In late 2003, for the 2004 model year, the Pontiac GTO was relaunched in the U.S. market. The revival was prompted by former GM North America Chairman Bob Lutz. GMs Holden subsidiary assembled the GTO in Elizabeth, South Australia. It was equipped with the 5.7 L LS1 V8 engine for the 2004 model year, the same engine found in the concurrent model year Chevrolet Corvette, with a choice of a 6-speed manual transmission or a 4-speed automatic. A significant change for 2005 was replacing the LS1 engine with the LS2 engine. This 5,967 cc (364.1 cu in) engine had increased power and torque of 400 hp (300 kW) with 400 lb-ft (542 Nm), respectively. Other changes included larger front rotors, caliper hardware from the Corvette, and a strengthened drivetrain.Look no further if you have been in the market for an unbelievably clean GTO. The pictures speak for themselves as far as the condition of this car but lets talk about what is not so obvious. Lets begin with a Pedders Track 1 suspension setup that has you carving corners with ease. Getting you to those corners is accomplished with an LS2 V8 with K&N cold air intake, Diablo Programmer and Borla exhaust, and a six-speed manual transmission. Dyno tuned (dyno sheet in hand) and making 414 horsepower and over 420 pounds of torque; you know this is not your average GTO. If all of that isnt enough, a Maverick Man Carbon Fiber spoiler on the back (the original spoiler comes with the car) and custom gauges inside this beautifully balanced package finish.
