VEHICLE DESCRIPTION

Used 1963 Chevrolet Corvette for sale in New Braunfels, Texas

Gateway Classic Cars of San Antonio/Austin is proud to present this award winning & NCRS registered 1963 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible. The 63-67 (C2) Corvette was the ultimate sportscar of the 60s. Nothing said freedom like the thundering roar of a small block! This 63 convertible was refinished in the original color of Daytona Blue back in 2004 as part of a restoration. Under the hood sits a 327CID/340HP V-8 breathing through the added side exit exhaust and looks the way you want your Corvette to look when you tilt the hood forward, complete with orange painted block, Chevy stamped valve covers and a big chrome air cleaner and matching chrome distributor cover. Lots of guys learned to fear the mighty 327 in the lightweight Nova, and in the Corvette, it becomes a scalpel compared to the 396s sledgehammer. Linked to a 4-speed manual transmission, it is ideal for both laid-back motoring and quick canyon carving where your right foot does all the work. Add in bright chrome bumpers, correct badges, and shiny rocker trim, optional color matched hard top or tan soft top and this Corvette looks ready to hit the road immediately. The interior features bucket seats that have been reupholstered in an original saddle tan leather with matching carpeting, door panels, and trim. A Delco AM/FM radio lives in the center stack, showing off its unique vertical orientation, although the 4-speed shifter provides better entertainment! Upgraded dual master cylinder braking, an electronic ignition system and the Turbine-style 15 wheels utilize three-ear knockoffs that are mounted on whitewall American Classic 205/75s. A three-spoke steering wheel sits ahead of instrumentation that includes a 160-mph speedometer, a tachometer with a 6,300-rpm redline and auxiliary gauges that consist of oil pressure, water temperature, battery voltage and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 66k miles although the true mileage is unknown. Stylish, vintage, upgraded, all-around fun make this iconic Corvette a terrific treat for those who enjoy an all-around impressive classic drop-top! This Corvette is of the highest driver quality type and is ready to be enjoyed.
