Used 1999 Porsche 911 for sale in Olathe, Kansas
The 996 model was the first 911 powered by a water-cooled flat-six. It was also the first 911 with completely new sheet metal since the cars introduction at the 1963 Frankfurt auto show. Here we have a 1999 (996) Porsche 911 Carrera with a couple of rare factory options. The box was checked for the uncommon Limited-Slip Differential, and the rare Aero Package. The Aero Package includes an updated front bumper, side skirts and that massive rear wing! While the tale of the IMS Bearing throws some shade on the reputation on the 996 Carrera models, that is not a worry with this example. The owner states a replacement motor, with an upgraded IMS bearing, now sits in the engine bay. Along with a recent transmission rebuilt, clutch replacement, new motor mounts and many more new parts. Additionally, the 100,000 mile service has been completed, this Porsche is ready to run! Silver 18 Lobster Fork wheels are wrapped in Riken Raptor ZR tires. Braking is handled by four-piston Porsche-branded brake calipers fitted over cross-drilled rotors at all four corners. Bilstein B4 shocks have been installed. The doorjamb sticker indicates manufacture in April 1998, and decoding the option sticker reveals the following information: L741 - Black paint, AS - Black standard leather upholstery, C02 - Equipped with catalytic converter, XAA - Aerokit, XRB - 18 Sport Classic two-piece wheels, X54 - Stainless-steel tailpipes, X70 - Stainless-steel door entry guards with logo, X71 - Aluminum-look instrument faces, 220 - Limited-slip differential, 222 - Traction control (ASR), 224 - Automatic Braking Differential (ABD), 234 - Internal production code related to tires, 424 - CD compartment, 446 - Wheel caps with full-color Porsche crests, 490 - Sound system, 688 - Becker-Porsche CDR-210 stereo.
