The Cobra SVT is a special performance model, with an aluminum double overhead-cam version of the base 4.6-liter V8, churning out a high-winding 305 horsepower. The Cobra features an aluminum block, forged steel crankshaft, and unique cylinder head castings with greater inlet port flow and 9.9-1 compression ratio. Six bolt mains help keep the bottom end in place. Motor Trend noted 305 horsepower at 5800 rpms, and 300 ft. lbs. with a 6000 RPM redline. 0-60 tests came in at 5.6 seconds with a 14.2 1/4 mile- very respectable today, and in fact quicker than many of the 1960s muscle cars. This particular mustang has a very nice black exterior, with a tan leather interior that is also in great shape. Only a few mods have been made to this car and they include a short throw shifter, lowering coil overs, and aftermarket headlights, although the original headlights are also included.
