Used 1958 GMC 1/2 Ton for sale in New Braunfels, Texas
Gateway Classic Cars 0f San Antonio/Austin is pleased to offer this visually stunning 1958 GMC Fleetside Pickup. The 58 GMC trucks, sometimes known as Fleetsides or often referred to as Apaches, were also known as a part of what was called the GMC Blue Chip Series of pickups, are the upper line to the Chevrolet Apaches. Both sporting the wrap around front windshield and the dual headlights, these model year trucks have become iconic in the classic markets. This is also one of the years that had the side-to-side chrome grill with the integrated turn signals that collectors & hot-rodders have come to love! This particular 1958 GMC underwent a complete body off media blast back in 2018/2019 when this build was initially started. From there, it was modified removing the side vents, the door edges were rounded & the handles were shaved and the vent windows were removed to name a few of the custom touches... Then it was completely reassembled with new front & rear chromed bumpers and grill assembly, sprayed with a super sharp looking Golden Umber two-tone paint scheme and some woodgrain-looking aluminum bed slats to create a high profile look with a classic GMC truck. This is a head turner for sure! Under the hood you will find, per the seller, a small block 350 CID V8 sourced from a 1969 Camaro with finned aluminum valve covers, an Edelbrock Performer EPS aluminum intake, an Edelbrock 600CFM carb, a Petronics distributor & coil set up, long tube headers and a Champion aluminum radiator. All the power is fed through a newer 700-R4 automatic transmission for smooth, precise shifting & is put to the ground compliments of a Ford 9 rear end & is brought to a stop with 4-wheel disc brakes. The interior is a real showstopper as well! The builders added a slick custom diamond-tuck leather interior, a turned aluminum gauge panel housing Classic Instruments gauges tucked in nicely behind the custom 55 steering wheel, a Vintage Air system, AM/FM/Bluetooth, tilt steering, fresh carpets, etc. Completing the stance and look are a set of 15 aluminum American Racing 5-spoke wheels wrapped up tight in fresh rubber and ready for cruise nights. I am sure there are some items I have missed, but you can see from the photos that this 1958 GMC is one super fine-looking ride!
