Gateway Classic Cars Houston showroom is excited to present this cool little 1923 Ford T-bucket and trailer combo rig. Based on the Model T of the 1915 to 1927 era, T-buckets are favorites for hotrodders. A genuine T-bucket has the two-seater body of a Model T roadster; and it is this bucket-shaped body shell from which these street rods derived their name. Regardless of whether it has a turtle deck or not (the small box at the back), a T-bucket is certainly unmistakable from other vintage hot rods. A Model T-style radiator is usually used, and even these can sometimes be barely up to the task of cooling the large engines installed in many T-buckets, but the one in this ride is a nice heavy duty unit, and is more than up to the task. This fiberglass Ford T-bucket has a 350 CID V8 powering it, and its polished chrome headers give it that classic hot rod vibe. The V8 is paired to a GM TH400 3-speed automatic transmission that shifts smoothly throughout the gears, and both only have 5,971 miles on them since the build was completed. This custom T is covered in a very dark gray metallic finish that looks black from almost every viewing angle, yet when seen up close in bright light, one can see the brilliant sparkling of the metalflake. It also sports a somewhat rare feature: the functional passenger door, which makes this Bucket much more user friendly than those that have to be entered Batman-style! Inside, the custom two-tone blue/black synthetic leather trim is a nice complement to the exterior color scheme, and it has a custom wood dash, along with good condition carpet on the floor. Radial tires wrap the custom brushed aluminum wheels, adjustable coil-over shocks at all four corners provide great ride control, and front wheel disc brakes enhance its stopping power. Out back, the custom trailer is paint-matched to the car, and sports the same blue/black patterned synthetic leather material that adorns the interior. This trailer makes those cruise days that much more fun! You can pack a cooler for your drive to the beach, or pack some chairs and a popup awning to take to the car show, etc.: the possibilities are limitless with this cool combo!
