VEHICLE DESCRIPTION

Used 1927 Bugatti Type 35 for sale in Las Vegas, Nevada

Gateway Classic Cars of Las Vegas is proud to present 1927 Bugatti Type 35 Replica. This is a very rare opportunity to acquire an original right hand drive, aluminum bodied Trafford Engineering Automotive Limited (TEAL) Bugatti T-35 built in the UK by illustrious TEAL builder Bob Jones in 1988. The TEAL manufactured Bugatti T-35 needs absolutely no introduction in European countries as there is an avid TEAL Club in the UK. Trafford Engineering Automotive Limited built/replicated Types 35, 43, 44, 52 and 59 Bugatti race cars from 1983 to 1996. About 200 TEAL Bugattis of the aforementioned types were completely hand-manufactured at the small Trafford Brake Patricroft, Eccles factory in the United Kingdom originally costing upwards $28,000 for a TEAL fitted with a Triumph or MGB engine and gearbox in the mid-late 1980s.Of course, every Bugatti enthusiast is very familiar with the (GRP) glass reinforced plastic or fiberglass Bugatti Type 35 roadsters that saturated the affordable American consumer car market beginning in the early 1970s. But this high quality evocation must NOT be confused with the many fibreglass replicas often found on eBay and other collector forums. This TEAL is powered by a finely tuned upgraded Fiat 124 Spider 2.0 engine featuring a 12H2709 head with hardened valve seats, Kent springs and upgraded camshaft, chrome-moly push rods, high lift roller rockers, twin HS4 SU carbs , a fuel pressure regulator and archaic push button electronic ignition. The only upgrades that this highly authentic looking Roadster could benefit from are vintage 8 or 10 nickel plated Marchal headlamps; a weathered or stressed spare tire three point leather harness and of course the iconic Bugatti steering wheel. The finely tuned vintage four cylinder Fiat 124 Spider 2.0 engine is throaty and very powerful for this 1700 lbs. bullet with a very authentic sound. This TEAL is properly appointed and none of the accouterments are over the top with this car, no unnecessary bells and whistles, just a very beautiful and authentic looking early 20th century naked European street legal Bugatti race car .
