This model was very succesful being the best selling car in America, overtaking arch rival Chevrolet for the first time since 1935. Sunliner is a true soft top convertible, not to be confused with the Skyliner that had a retractable hardtop. This Fairlane is powered by a 312 inch Thunderbird Special V-8 four barrel mated to a three speed automatic transmission. With a striking presence accentuated by its low stance, subtle slanted tailfins and a very nice bright Red and White two tone scheme on both interior and exterior. This car has seat belts can you believe only six percent of these cars were ordered with that option.
