This 400SE was originally leased for three years by Ernest Evans, aka Chubby Checker, American recording artist of Lets Twist. He purchased it on April 7, 1995, and owned it for 20 more years. In 2015, he traded it in for his new Mercedes at the same dealership that maintained the car. Its equipped with a 4.2-liter engine with automatic transmission. Documentation includes clean CARFAX with 50+ dealership service records, original owners manual, original lease agreement, and the title issued to Chubby Checker in 1995. The speedometer and odometer do not work, the radio is locked.
