Backing the 327 is a 4-speed manual transmission (with a new clutch), and the drivetrain was rebuilt only about 7000 miles ago, so this SS has plenty of life left in it. This 64 Impala SS also received a complete 4-wheel brake job recently, so she stops nicely. The 3.55:1 rear axle ratio is highway friendly, yet still provides for brisk acceleration when you need it, and the PosiTrac differential keeps you from smoking that inner tire when you accelerate through a corner.
