Electronics have been converted to12-volt electrical system, and a Power-take-off system is mated to the driveline. In the post-war era, this was one of Willys most successful models, with over 300,000 produced. This was also the first Willys. While the steel body may not be as desirable as the wood-bodied cars to many people, they were easier to mass-produce, easier to maintain, and most importantly safer than the previous lumber-bodied pre-war cars.
