Gateway Classic Cars of Tampa is proud to offer this Amazing 1927 Ford Roaster Pickup. This gorgeous hot rod was originally built for the California show car circuit. This was achieved with an order to Shadow Rods with a unique build of their Premium Package, 1927 Model-T hot rods. The body was stretched 4 inches, widened 2 inch and raised 3 overall. A Functioning cowl flap, removable top, and chrome swing-out windshield were added as well. The backbone of the build is a modified 32 Ford chassis with a Super Bell drop front axle, fully chromed Winters Quick Change rear end, Wilwood disk brakes (front and rear) and a bespoke steel pick-up bed with a wood floor and a custom fabricated 12-gallon fuel tank. The engine is an all new, 59A flathead V8 with a Merc 4 inch crank, Offenhauser heads and intake, topped with a Holley carburetor. Power is sent to the Winters rear end via a C4 automatic transmission, and sent to the ground on a set of custom, polished Halibrand wheels. Rounding off this custom show-rod is a coat of mile deep black paint, with Wise Guy seats and interior wrapped in high quality tan leather.
