VEHICLE DESCRIPTION

Used 1937 Jaguar SS100 for sale in Phoenix, Arizona

In 1937 Jaguar was busy pushing the boundaries of what was possible out of an automobile at the time working on the SS100. The SS100 was a two-seater roadster that, with the bigger engine, was capable of reaching 100MPH which is how the car received its name. Over the years, these cars have grown in popularity and have become unattainable for the common man to own one without selling their house and living in it. Thankfully a company changed this by making kit cars so anyone who ever dreamed about owning one can now have it! Sporting the same sloping body lines the original one did, this 1985 Jaguar replica featured by our Scottsdale showroom was created back in 1985. Above the rear wheels sits a peppy 1.6L Volkswagen 4 cylinder that distributes the power into a 4-Speed manual transmission. As you slide into the vintage style interior, you cannot help but be taken back to a different time period where courageous men were attempting to set land speed records with no safety requirements. Gateway Classic Cars of Scottsdale is proud to present this beautiful 1937 SS Cars LTD Jaguar SS100 replica (title will refelect 1985 UNKWN OTHR. This classic Jaguar wouldn’t be nearly as iconic without the well-known British racing Green over Tan interior. The kit was originally assembled in 1985 and has been very well cares for since then. The paint still shines, and the interior has been well kept. Just over 6,500 miles have been run since the kits completion. This is a great opportunity to own a more modern example of a beautiful British classic.Driving this car is a completely unique experience unparalleled by most anything produced in recent times. Since its build in 1985 this car has held up well. There have only been just under 7,000 miles put on it and has been well maintained. Within the last 5 years the car has had the brakes completely gone through, new tires installed, front suspension components replace, and past emissions multiple times. If you are looking for a classic roadster, but hope to not break the bank, this is a great option!
