Its corporate offices and manufacturing plant were in Elmira, New York. Over the years, American LaFrance built thousands of fire trucks including chemical engines, combination pumpers, aerial ladder trucks, Aero Chief snorkel trucks, and airport crash trucks. The classical style of the American LaFrance apparatus is easily recognized. The current owner got this pumper truck from a fire department in Broome County NY about 6 years ago and is ready to allow someone else to make memories in it. Walking around this 79 one should notice the gloss red/white paint, Gold leaf decals that reflect where the truck came from, diamond plate aluminum body parts, reflection tape, single axel dual rear wheels, functioning lights and siren, a 500-gallon polymer tank, 1500 gallons per minute pump, multiple ladders, etc. The interior features a combination of functionality and style.
