VEHICLE DESCRIPTION

Used 2004 Chevrolet Corvette for sale in OFallon, Illinois

Gateway Classic Cars of St. Louis is proud to present this 2004 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible! 2004 marks the final year for the fifth generation Corvette. Arguably the C5 was and is the most important generation. Beginning in 1997 GM introduced the C5 and the now infamous LS engine platform. Improving on the pros form the C4 and knocking down the con list this vehicle staggers the market today. The weight distribution is near perfect, the interior is a spacious two-seater, and the powerplant is more than adequate. For the more power-hungry owners, the platform has almost an entire world of its own available in modifications and upgrades. In 2004 this vehicle had a sticker price of $58,090! Adjusted for inflation that would be roughly $84,000 in todays world! The LS1 is rated at 350 horsepower from the factory and is paired to a 4 speed automatic transmission. The exterior of this final year Corvette is Le Mans Blue with the Commemorative Shale interior. This is not another red Corvette, this is likely a less than ordinary color combination that will have you salivating. The window sticker provides a list of desirable options including the Commemorative Edition, magnetic ride control, 12-disc CD changer, and 3.15:1 performance axle ratio. The Commemorative Edition has a lot of fan favorites including the heads-up display, tilt/telescopic wheel, and GM twilight sentinel option. The mileage for this performance machine comes in just over 71,000. Some classic and sports car buyer would argue that mileage is high, but for a couple reasons this writers opinion is that she is just getting broke in. The highest known mileage C5 Corvette was donated to the Corvette museum with over 700,000 mile on the original engine! Given this and how well these engines respond to performance modifications we get the warm fuzzy feeling when we see these cars. This 2004 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible is offered by the St. Louis sales staff and can be seen in full detail on our website. Our listing all include 100+ HD photos and a detailed video!
