Approaching the 40s it was an odd time between finally recovering from the depression and on the brink of joining the World at War, WWII. Oldsmobile a division of GM was looking to bring a new model out in their rightful place alongside Buick in the GM brand. Between Chevy and Pontiac on the lower end and Cadillac on the top end. The cars that were made in this era come from an iconic time and perhaps its more than their design, but the real history that they hold that still appeals to so many today. Here we have a 40 Model Coupe, far from it roots as she is now a street rod, and if I may say tastefully done. The red and black exterior paint has seen enjoyment on the road but still looks really good. The red cloth interior is holding up well and creates a nice balance in the tones. This car has an aggressive stance, and the tunnel ram gives you a hint that there is something lurking under the hood. The tunnel ram sits atop a Weiand Supercharger latched to dual 4-barrel carburetors that feeds the rebuilt 350 small block. This car sounds amazing! Power is ran down through a rebuilt 3-speed Turbo 400 transmission. Other items of note: Weiand intake, electric fans, MSD ignition, trans cooler, camaro subframe, front disc brakes, stainless steel fuel tank, Chevy rear end, and electric fuel pump. Current owner has had her for 3 years, acquired from a private owner. The title is clean and clear. This street rod has a nice balance of looks and power for the money.
