Gateway Classic Cars Milwaukee is excited to present this 1951 GMC 100 pickup. In 1912 General Motors patented the GMC truck name and the rest is history. GMC has become known for building dependable trucks that have become the workhorse of America. During the 30s and 40s the pickup became more popular than ever as the Army invested in 600,000 GMC trucks during WWII. After the war the GMC light and medium duty trucks had a major redesign called GMC New Design. Incorporating a larger, stronger and sleeker body. A design that is extremely desirable today in the retromod build market. This 1951 GMC 100 pickup had a body off restoration in 2017. Painted in a matte black finish and fitted with 19 Torque Trust wheels with a polished lip giving this GMC one mean look. Professional pinstriping, sliding rear window, Integrated taillights, wood bed planks, and a maroon grille add to the pickups appearance. The interior features a light gray 50/50 split leather seats with accenting maroon door panels. Folding center armrests and custom cupholder make for a comfortable road trip. Under the hood is a Chevrolet 350 cubic inch V-8. Additions include a Edelbrock carburetor, Sanderson headers, electronic ignition. The three-speed automatic transmission is attached to a 9 Ford rear end. Other interesting build features are front disk brakes, AM /FM radio, power steering, power brakes, power seats, seatbelts and an aftermarket gauge package including oil pressure, fuel, voltage and temperature.
