Gateway Classic Cars of Chicago is proud to present this low mileage 1998 Dodge Dakota R/T. The R/T model means this compact pickup received the massive 5.9l Magnum V8. The 360 cubic inch cast iron powerplant is bolted to a 4-speed automatic overdrive transmission putting power to the rear wheels only. The vehicle has only travelled a hair over 16,000 actual verified miles since delivery. The original Flame Red Clear Coat still shines like new, and the Mist Gray interior is as plush as can be. The R/T package adds the 250horse 5.9l V8, but also some improved handling thanks to the heavy-0duty rear stabilizer bar. While certainly an improvement over the base model, this Dakota has seen a few more tasteful upgrades to help it stand out from the crowd. A set of Mopar headers were fitted to give a slight power bump along with a K&N intake system. A Bed liner was installed to keep the bed clean at all times. The rear bumper was removed in favor of a paint-matched roll pan, but it is included with the vehicle. A tonneau cover was set atop the bed as well. Lastly, a remote start was fitted to the vehicle to add convenience.
