VEHICLE DESCRIPTION

Used 1976 Chevrolet K10 for sale in OFallon, Illinois

Gateway Classic Cars of St. Louis is proud to present this 1976 Chevrolet K10! The body looks incredibly straight and there is evidence that the paint is original! For square body Chevy trucks this is a little bit of a rarity! The drivetrain is the highly respected 400 V8, with GM strong 3 speed automatic transmission, Dana 44 front axle, and 12 bolt rear end spinning 3.73:1 gears. The odometer shows just over 50,000 miles which the current owner believes to be original and put on about 4,000 of those miles. The exterior is reported to be a 76 only color combination and is wearing 70s two tone in Spring Green and Willoway Green! The interior is also green! The truck is reported to have spent much of its early life as a Montana ranch vehicle - lending credit to the superb survivorship condition of the body. The current owner has had possession for a little over 4 years, and the selling dealership reported their acquisition was from the 2nd owner. In short, a case can be made for the current owner being the 3rd owner. The current owner did some extensive research to document the truck to his standards coming up with some very unique tidbits on the truck. He also did a bit of an interior restoration, and upgraded the interior to period correct Cheyenne interior trim level. The engine block has not been machined, but some tasteful improvements were made. The heads were swapped out for Vortec heads with an upgraded camshaft, Edelbrock intake, Holley Sniper EFI, Hedman headers, and dual baffled fuel tanks. The result is OE-plus-like performance and in this writers opinion helps modernize the drivetrain for todays roads and traffic. The original undercoating was beginning to peel and expose the trucks bare metal in some areas, so the frame, suspension, and underbody were given a fresh layer of undercoating protection. The owner also reports possession of the protect-o-plate, and much of the original delivery paperwork for the truck. The bed was also sprayed in clear coat to protect the patina from rust. This 1976 Chevrolet K10 in stunning Spring Green is offered by the St. Louis sales staff and can be seen in full detail on our website. Our listing all include 100+ HD photos and a detailed video!
