Backing this engine was also a new transmission called the Turbo-Hydramatic. Performance gains from this engine and transmission combo were mainly noticed in the 20-50mph range, or in town driving. Another new feature was called Comfort Control. A completely automatic heating and air conditioning system controlled by a dial thermostat on the instrument panel, was introduced as an industry first. With all of these features, these Cadillacs are amazing cruisers even by todays standards. This particular Deville has recently had the suspension rebuilt so it drives exceptionally well.
