VEHICLE DESCRIPTION

Used 1965 Ford Mustang for sale in Houston, Texas

Gateway Classic Cars Houston showroom is excited to present this beautiful sapphire blue 1965 Ford Mustang coupe. This 1965 Mustang is part of the first-generation Ford produced from 1964 until 1969. Within the first production year more than 417,000 Mustangs were sold, setting a record for a new model from Detroit; not to mention creating an entire class of automobiles by itself. These cars had sporty long hoods, along with short rear short decks, and became the progenitor of the Pony Car market. The 65 Mustang was the beginning of a market that still is going strong today, with Camaros, Challengers, Cougars, Barracudas and more joining the fray in the early years. This good-looking 1965 Mustang is equipped with a 289 CID V8, which is topped by a 4BBL carb and aluminum intake manifold. Cast iron manifolds scavenge the exhaust gases into its dual exhaust system, which has a nice subtle burble to its note. One pleasant surprise for the driver is the 5-speed manual transmission, which has plenty of ratio spread to make this a fun driver in town and on the interstate. The completely revamped interior comes from TMI, and sports a Pony Pac look to it, but with modern high-grade synthetic leather seating surfaces with Alcantara-style inserts. Even the headliner and carpet are fresh, and the custom center console adds a nice touch of utility with its cupholders and storage compartment. Outside, the bright blue paint gleams, and the brightwork is shiny and clean. The polished U.S. Mag aluminum wheels look great, and the BFGoodrich Radial T/A radials look like they have plenty of life left in them. You dont want to let this one slip through your fingers - so call now!
