VEHICLE DESCRIPTION

Used 1973 Ford Bronco for sale in DFW Airport, Texas

Do you want a classic American V8? Do you want a convertible? Do you want a Hardtop and Softtop? Do you want a 4x4? Or do you want it all in one vintage package with modern upgrades like this Ford Bronco? Broncos are a bit of a specialty at Gateway Classic Cars, and so we get excited when we see one loaded with original options. In the case of a vehicle like this thats built for utility, the extras are often about adding personality with brightwork - chrome bumpers, hubcaps, rocker panels, side molding, door frames, and passenger side mirror. All of this silver bling is a nice contrast to the original color copper paint. Despite all of this shine, there is a feeling of straightforward honesty in the design of every 1st generation Bronco. The uncluttered straight lines give this classic utility vehicle strength in both appearance and function. The current owner purchased this very original 73 Ford Bronco from a Bronco specialist in California in Sept of 2019. Many upgrades went into making this a daily driver while still maintain its original charm. Beautiful engine bay with no rust or rot. Fires up easily every time with an upgraded push-button start. All new linkage, All new wires, plugs, and distributed added before current owner converted to electronic fuel injection at $2500 cost for better performance. New headers and new mufflers. New fuel pump, filters, and new gas tanks. The interior is mostly original with a highly coveted houndstooth in good shape for its age. Original 302 VS was rebuilt and run like new with only 3400 miles added since the rebuild. Power disc brakes with the new booster and master cylinder. C4 automatic transmission with Dana 20 transfer case. BFG K02s on EOM wheel and extremely clean hub caps. Power steering, Air conditioning, and Electronic fuel injection were added within the last year by the new owner. Also added new Retro Sound Radio to provide Bluetooth sound with the appearance of the original AM radio. Professional paint restoration in factory color for exterior provided in summer of 2020 with Ranger stripes that make this Bronco look like a piece of art. Cost of $10,000.00. The most desirable Soft tops furnished by BC Broncos were also recently added. This top provides protection from the elements but easily converts to a bikini-style top for how the bronco should be driven on a beautiful day. The top is sturdy enough to hold a rack (which can be purchased from BC Broncos) and looks similar to a Land Rover you would see on Safari with a straight down back window. These tops cost $3500 installed. Inside there were even more option boxes checked at the Ford dealer. Power Brakes and Power Steering, premium steering wheel with a chrome ring, and sports-style bucket seats. There are also features for everyday convenience like the three-speed automatic transmission. This classic Bronco even has a modern air conditioning unit installed and ready to rock. If this Bronco seems more like a complete vehicle than just something purely utilitarian, the pictures should solidify this feeling. The full carpeting, rear bench seat, and coordinating interior panels are the kind of features more likely found in a sports car than a truck. In fact, the Broncos have a full dual personality. The steel roof is easily removed to turn this classic off-roader into a full-open convertible. This one was outfitted with a roll bar for added safety. and includes a rigid convertible top. Theres one last option of note, and its a big one. The 302 cubic inch V8 really gives this classic utility vehicle the power to keep up with todays traffic. This 302 is Fitted with a brand new Holley Sniper EFI system. the motor in this Bronco was rebuilt, given a full refresh, and then carefully reinstalled with 3400 miles since. This helps ensure that the powerplant is churning out as many ponies as possible without ruining the overall original appearance. The hardy motor is especially nice to have when taking this 4x4 off-road. It might seem scary to take such a pristine vehicle into the rough unknown, but thats exactly what these were built to handle. The short wheelbase is ideal for scaling obstacles, and the mechanical pieces are shared across Fords robust truck line. This means even though 1st generation Broncos are becoming rarer every day (less than 22,000 were sold in 1973,) finding replacement parts are often quite simple. This is a high-optioned 4x4 that feels original down to the included owners manual and warranty card. It is the kind of Bronco that any purist that sees it cant pass up. Call today!
