Entering the early 60s Chevrolet wanted to make a new compact car and unknowingly created a classic that would be love for generations to come. The Chevy II Nova debuted in 1962 and would see 6 generations leaping a few years in the end up to 1988. Here is a 62 Sport Coupe, and one with an awesome stance. The Red 5.0 Urethane enamel / white paint has a nice luster to it and is by Sherwin Williams. The red and white vinyl interior looks comfortable and is in very nice shape. Now lets get into the meat and potatoes. Under the hood is a throaty 283ci V8 engine mated to a TH350 w/shift kit. The sound is awesome, probably something to do with the Edelbrock Performer Intake, 600cfm carb., and Ceramic coated headers with 2.5 pipes & electric cutouts. Thats right, you can hear this Nova breath out the back and the sides; the choice is at your fingertips. This Chevy II has a 9.25:1 compression ratio, sounds like a moderate cam, and Unisteer Power Rack & Pinion Steering. Holding her up in the back is a Classic Performance Products Multi-leaf springs and shackles, and Polyplus leaf spring pads with Monroe Shocks. Up front, Moog coil springs, CPP Spring perches, Polyplus control arm & strut rod bushings with Monroe Shocks as well. Bringing her to a stop is SSBC Performance Brake System, power front and rear disc brakes and stainless-steel brake lines. She also has a Mechanical locker (Powertrax No-slip traction system) and a 3.73:1 gear ratio that provides a nice balance of straight line acceleration and cruising.
