This baby was born a real 24237 VIN GTO and features a glass-like paint job and the body looks great, as do the panel gaps and famous Endura nose. PHS Documents available It is a gorgeous goat, no doubt. For the purists, it was code 53-D (Warwick Blue) originally, with a black vinyl top. Under the hood, you will find the original YS code 400 big block, and large valve 62 heads (72cc), with matching J188 date codes. The 69 GTO base 400 was rated at a conservative 350 horses, with stump-pulling 445 ft-lbs. of torque. This car not only looks great, but it is an absolute pleasure to drive. Power finds its way to the asphalt through a 10-bolt rear. front Wilwood discs help assure a safe stop. In 1969, the GTO grew up a bit with a more modern dash, better cylinder heads, no more vent windows, and updated grills / rear bumper.
