The Z8 was the production variant of the 1997 BMW Z07 concept car. Designed by a team led by Chris Bangle, the exterior was designed by Henrik Fisker of Aston Martin fame. It caused such a sensation at the 1997 Tokyo Auto Show, BMW decided to make a production version called the Z8.
