VEHICLE DESCRIPTION

Used 1970 Chevrolet Suburban for sale in Houston, Texas

Gateway Classic Cars Houston showroom is excited to offer this beautiful blue classic looking, but modern driving 1970 Chevrolet Suburban restomod for sale. While it looks old from 20 feet, get closer and youre in for a treat! The build on this Suburban started with removing the body from the frame, refinishing everything (including the frame), shaving the drip rails, and then dropping in a killer drivetrain. Open the hood, and after your eyes feast on the mill, youll notice the Eddie Motorsports billet hood hinges, which operate very smoothly. The firewall was smoothed, and all HVAC hoses re-routed and tucked out of view. The power plant is a 435HP 6.2L L86 crate engine, complete with serpentine belt drive and billet accessory mounts. A Spectre cold air intake feeds the mill, and a Ron Davis Racing aluminum radiator with twin thermostatically controlled Spal fans keep things cool. Ceramic coated exhaust manifolds look cool, flow almost like headers, and keep the exhaust note of the dual MagnaFlow mufflers subdued enough that casual listeners wont realize whats lurking under the hood. Behind the L86 is a beefy GM 8L90E transmission, which is capable taking 900 lb/ft of torque. With 8 forward gears, this Suburban can haul some weight (and some butt) and do it very smoothly. Given that the power train only has about 1700 miles on it, youll have plenty of driving pleasure ahead of you; so climb in, fire it up, hit the highway, and set the cruise control! In the event that you find yourself driving with a little too much spirit, the CPP braking upgrades will bring you to a halt quickly: the slotted and drilled CPP rotors are nabbed by 4-piston front calipers and 2-piston rears, which provide plenty of whoa to reign in the go...handling is enhanced by the multi-link rear suspension, with coil-over shocks at each corner, and the custom K-member with its tubular upper and lower control arms up front. Beefy front and rear sway bars keep things pointed in the right direction during higher speed maneuvers. The grippy 275/55R18 Kumho Ecsta performance radials on its chromed Ridler wheels are practically new (you can still see the little nubs of the tire mold sprue), and they provide a great ride with plenty of traction. While youre out at night, youll appreciate the great forward visibility provided by the LED headlights. Inside, youll note the four new ProCar bucket seats and fresh carpet throughout. The buckets are covered in a high-grade synthetic leather and provide plenty of support without being too restrictive. There are two custom consoles between the buckets: both have locking lower storage compartments, plenty of cup holders, and have 12V power outlets with USB ports. The rear console folds back to become the 3rd rear seat (complete with seat belt). Billet A/C nozzles direct the passenger compartment airflow, keeping the natives from getting restless when temps arent comfortable outside. Additional features and options on this brilliant blue 1970 Suburban include Air Conditioning, Aluminum Wheels, AM/FM Radio, Cruise Control, Power Brakes, Power Steering, Power Windows, Radial Tires, Seat Belts, Tilt Steering Wheel, and Vinyl Interior.
