America was still bouncing back but just around the corner was WWII. Production would not last long into 1942 when the government ordered the complete shut-down of all civilian automotive manufacturing. This was in direct response to the start of the U.S.s involvement in WWII. Ford would not be able to restart production until 1946 and that is the year we have here. This 46 Ford has seen many changes. This old Ford has a cool green patina going for it, was actually painted to look this way. Believed to have the original panels on her. The green and black vinyl interior is in good order and comfortable. Under the hood is a 5.3L Vortec V8 mated to a 4L60 transmission, a sleeper in disguise. Current owner installed the powertrain, fuel cell, power steering and box, cruise control, vintage air, power brakes and front disc brakes about 5 years ago. Powertrain has had 5k miles lapsed since install. This truck runs, drives and shifts well and sounds really good! Current owner has had her for over 14 years, acquired from a private individual.
