Gateway Classic Cars Milwaukee is excited to present this 1972 AMC Gremlin X. The Gremlin was manufactured in Kenosha Wisconsin from 1970-1978. Built on a shortened AMC Hornet platform to compete with the Chevrolet Vega and Ford Pinto in the sub-compact market. Total production of the AMC Gremlin was 671,475 units. Over its run, the Gremlin offered six cylinder and V-8 engine options. Trim options included the base and the sporty Gremlin X packages. One of the most popular options was the Levi upholstered interior. This 1972 AMC Gremlin X is one beautiful survivor. Painted in a silver paint with a red “X stripe package. Sitting on a set of factory rally wheels mounted on raised white letter tires. The chrome bumpers and spoiler and to the 1970s vibe. A new two-tone black and red vinyl bucket seat interior is accented with new black carpet and sporty imitation aluminum dash panels. Under the hood is a 232 cubic inch inline six attached to a 3-speed automatic transmission. A new 2BBL carburetor has been recently installed. Options include AM radio, power steering, tilt steering wheel and the iconic Gremlin gas cap. You will be hard pressed to find a nicer example of a 1972 AMC Gremlin X.
