Manufactured to be a direct competitor to the Ford Mustang. After six generations and over five million sold the Chevrolet Camaro will always be one of the most popular models ever sold. Production ran from 1967-2002 resulting in an astonishing five million plus cars sold. The Camaro has evolved in many trim variations and has become one of the most popular cars to restore and modify into the classic Camaros we enjoy today. This 1978 Chevrolet Camaro is an “over the top build. From the paint to the engine build this car will not disappoint. Under the hood is a 360 cubic inch crate engine producing 425 horsepower. But the fun does not stop there, additional parts include Trick Flow aluminum heads, Pete Jackson gear drive, Crane 1.6 aluminum roller rockers, 800 CFM carburetor, MSD box with rev limiter and Ceramic coated headers all attached to a Richmond six-speed transmission with a long shifter and Hurst line lock. A 3.73 Posi/ Auburn Pro differential has been installed to handle all the power to the rear wheels. Stainless steel exhaust gives this monster a great throaty sound. Under this 1978 Camaro build is a 1 1/8 front sway bar, poly graphite suspension bushings, Edelbrock IAS shocks, and Cal Tracs traction bars giving the car awesome stability. One could call this 1978 Camaro the Black Beauty as the black paint just glows. The blue stripe package and Billet Specialties Hollow Point alloy wheels makes this car a show piece. A rear window louver gives the Camaro a great period look. The black vinyl interior is factory new. Additional items on the car include power steering, power brakes, and a Pioneer AM/FM/cd radio.
