Debuting in 1970 and deriving its name from the famous city, Monte Carlo, nobody knew it would lead to six generations spanning nearly 40 years! The Monte Carlo was dreamed and developed to fill a new roll for the Chevrolet brand. It was actually marketed as the first ever personal luxury car by Chevrolet. Here we have a 1988 Model, the last year for the fourth generation. The fourth gens were known as the G-body Monte Carlo and are to this day one of the highest sought-after generations. The final year for the G-body would see less than half the production of the previous year let alone the SS production. In 87 there was nearly 40k SS models made, but just over 16k in 88. This 88 SS model is in great overall condition. The white paint shows off the bold aggressive angles and is in great shape. The 4th Gen. Monte Carlo SS featured European body color-coding, a new front fascia, a rear spoiler and a V8. The burgundy cloth interior hardly looks used, perhaps thats because of the 29k miles clocked. Under the hood is the 305ci V8 and 4-speed automatic with overdrive that they were known for.
