VEHICLE DESCRIPTION

Used 1969 Chevrolet Camaro for sale in Alpharetta, Georgia

Gateway Classic Cars of Atlanta is proud to present, this 1969 Chevrolet Camaro. The Chevy Camaro has always delivered big performance in a slick package, and this 1969 continues that muscle car tradition. Painstakingly restored with an eye toward the sinister quality of classic cars, this beauty is now packing a rompin stompin 427 V8 in a black-on-black tuxedo. If showing up in an awesome piece of vintage Chevy muscle is your idea of fun, this just might be your next car. This sucker could probably compete for trophies and pose for pictures all its life, but to be honest, it is too good out on the streets for that pampered existence. This Camaro was built to brawl, caging it would be an affront against its muscle-clad nature. The sinister black paint is surely more appealing than anything the factory could have managed, and as always, it looks good on the F-body shape. They worked hard to get it into shape, nailing the gaps and prepping the steel to make it look right once everything was said and done, and the depth of the reflections in the bodys surface is proof enough. Again, this Camaro was purpose-built to hit the streets, not to win all the blue ribbons on the national circuit, so a few minor flaws could be found under heavy scrutiny, but the finish is high-quality overall and worthy of bragging about. The builders added stripes in favor of a slick look, but the cowl hood and ducktail spoiler add a touch of aggression that really makes this car stand out in a crowd. The tail panel is properly blacked-out, and the chrome bumpers and all the brightwork looks great against the black paint and it is all like the rest of the car. A black interior really is the only color that you would choose on a Camaro like this, and the buckets are very comfortable. The interior, like the bodywork, is stock with a few thoughtful changes that enhance the driving experience such as a nice set of Auto Meter gauges. The plush black carpets are correct, the door panels are in good shape, and there is a factory center console with a desirable que ball shifter in the middle and a set of Rally gauges just ahead of it. The big round gauges in the dash are standard issue, and the wood-grain applique on the dash and center console warms things up inside while adding a touch of sophistication. A new dash pad up top that is in great shape and free of any cracks, and the headliner above is taut and looks good. The rear seat probably has not been sat in since the car was restored, while out back the surprisingly spacious trunk is finished with a correct plaid mat. The 427 cubic inch V8 mated to a 4-speed manual transmission under the hood brings firepower and with great torque production, it will pretty much shred the tires at will. But it is not just a street fighter, this 427 V8 is more than capable of pulling this Camaro all around town with civility, but just in case it gets tested at a red light, it can handle itself. Topped with a bright chrome air cleaner, proper chrome valve covers and a Quick Fuel 4-barrel carburetor, it has all the goods to help with the vintage performance look inside the super clean engine bay. There are also neatly braded hoses and organized wiring, along with a giant aluminum radiator with a large electric fan up front, further signs that this Camaro is not like the others. The engine starts with a wonderful bark from the long-tube headers that feed the dual exhaust system and it pulls like a freight train, as you would probably expect by now. The chassis is super clean and includes fresh suspension components throughout, and power steering ensure a great drive experience each time out. The ride height is stock, so it looks right sitting on American Racing Torque Thrust wheels with staggered wheel combo. There are inferior Camaros out there for more money, but this one skillfully blends big performance, correct details, and an outstanding look to make one heck of an early F-body. They really do not get much better than this. Call today! To view the car in greater detail, including 100+ HD photos and HD video, please visit www.gatewayclassiccars.com.
