VEHICLE DESCRIPTION

Used 1990 Buick Reatta for sale in Phoenix, Arizona

Gateway Classic Cars of Scottsdale is pleased to offer for sale this forward-thinking 1990 Buick Reatta Convertible listed on consignment with our Arizona showroom, located in North Phoenix. These Reattas were marketed as an advanced offering by General Motors in their short production run from 1988-1991. In fact, the Reatta was so special that it had its own factory for development and manufacturing- the Reatta Craft Center in Lansing, Michigan. Around 21,751 Buick Reattas were sold with just 2,437 of those being convertibles, including this car! Despite the nimble looks, Buick emphasized the maturity of these small two seaters over its sportiness in advertising campaigns. The Red paintjob is believed to be original and the Tan vinyl convertible top can be manually raised and lowered under a cover that gives a cool roadster look when down. Under the hood is the renowned LN3 3.8l V6 engine, used extensively in GMs small and mid-sized vehicles in the contemporary era. Similarly, the 4-speed 4T60 automatic transmission is a tried and tested unit that will help this little Reatta achieve some good economy out on the open road. Anti-lock brakes and front/rear independent suspension help the Reatta to feel very upscale and provide a pleasant operating experience. Inside this low-production Buick theres Saddle Tan leather seating and you can tell that GMs engineers spent a lot of energy trying to maximize utility and driver convenience. Climate control (with converted air conditioning to R-134), power seats/windows/locks, driver air bag, AM/FM/Cassette player, cruise control and an anti-theft system are all nice features to have also. This car has the original window sticker available, maintenance receipts over the years and a clean Carfax report. After the discontinuation of the brand, the Reatta Craft Center was renamed the Lansing Craft Center and has assembled some memorable vehicles since such as the Chevrolet SS and GM EV1 (electric car). The legacy of the Reatta lives on and has attracted significant collector attention recently. Its time to make a move on this 2-door convertible before someone else does!
