Gateway Classic Cars Las Vegas is proud to present, this 1971 Chevrolet Chevelle featured a styling update that replaced the dual headlight front end design with a simplified single-headlight setup. The headlights were flanked by dual cornering lights, designed to mimic the look of the split-bar grille. Out back, the single square taillights of the 70 model were replaced with a dual-taillight design. That simple design change has launched these cars to an all time high at auctions across the country. This former race car has been returned to a streetable version with lots of safety and performance options that still remain. Just part of the roll bar has been removed to make entry exit much easier. The fuel cell located in the trunk , 4 racing lap belts and roll bar are just a few of the safety features that remain on this former race car. The original race engine has been removed and replaced with a totally rebuilt 454 with a turbo 400 and has just 1000 miles on it.The Ford 9 has 410 gears and 35 spline axles with 4 wheel disc brakes which was also rebuilt at the same time. P215/70R 15 fronts and P295/65R15 rear Mickey Thompsons look great and provide the good stance on this car. The interior is black vinyl with auxiliary gauges and a B&M shifter.
