After all, look at the distinctive lines on this car- Dodge definitely got it right. This HEMI Orange 72 is a good driver quality car, and represents the legend well. The owner put a lot into it, including new paint, nice OEM style vinyl top, new bumpers, new tires on refinished 15 Rallys, and new weather stripping. It has that Im going 100 MPH standing still look to it. Some of you may recall the movie Vanishing Point, featuring a 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T, with a 440 cubic-inch V-8 in it, making these pretty famous pieces of Americana. This was an H-code 340 car when new. The original 340 is long gone, and a rebuilt 318 V8 4-BBl resides there now- beneficiary of an Edelbrock intake, carburetor and valve covers. It sounds tough with the new Magna-Flow mufflers, and the quad exhaust tips look rally cool. A 3-speed automatic gets the power to the 8.75 limited slip rear end. New brakes help bring it to a stop. The interior features newly reupholstered bucket seats, console, as well as new carpeting helping it look much better than your average one. The gauges were updated. This is a drivers car- pragmatic and functional, and a bit of a time machine. Far out. Heres a first gen Challenger you can just enjoy- or take it from here and make it amazing.
