VEHICLE DESCRIPTION

Used 1965 Pontiac Bonneville for sale in Coral Springs, Florida

Gateway Classic Cars of Fort Lauderdale is delighted to present this gorgeous 1965 Pontiac Bonneville Convertible! Wide Track, Trophy V8, were terms used to describe the big Pontiacs back then, well suited words for these magnificent automobiles. Look at the sweeping lines, chrome and detail put into this from the factory, in a pre-computer world where it was all hand done. The stacked headlamps and parted grill tell you its a Pontiac. Despite the primitive technology, the folks at Pontiac produced a beautiful car that still demands a lot of respect 56 years after it left the assembly line. The exterior looks quite good overall with few flaws, and the Teal Turquoise with white top are a stunning combination. There is probably more metal in this car than 3 new ones combined! Its massive- yet it drives like a smaller, lighter car. The big 389 V8 stands ready with 325 advertised horsepower, 10.5 compression, four-barrel carburetor and 429-lbs.ft. of torque. Pontiac dominated the drag strips in the very early 60s with its 421 Catalinas, and the GTO being introduced in 1964 made history with the big 389. This one purrs like a kitty and sounds nice with the dual exhaust. Even with power steering and power brakes, there is plenty of room under the hood, making service easy. Some folks bolt on Pontiacs 3-2 barrel setup on these, for a cool 60s look and considerably more performance. Ah, nothing like a Pontiac V8 winding up and sounding tough be it a 4Bbl or Tri-Power. There was a Tiger in every Pontiac. The interior almost looks new- very presentable and such nice detail they put into these cars back then. Heck- there is even a tilt steering wheel. Seating areas are very comfortable, and the power top works nicely. A boot is provided for when the top is down to finish off this liner of an automobile. Cruise in style, baby.
