This 2016 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 C7R Edition is a 650-horsepower rocket ship and just 500 C7.R Editions were made for 2016, spread across both coupe and convertible body styles. This was the ideal color to provide a terrific contrast to really make all the aggressive black elements stand out, including the optional wheels. And speaking of this dark alloy, you really get to see those brake calipers within, and thats a nice coordinating piece with the interior. The pure performance exterior is matched to a downright luxurious interior. Sure, those competition seats are nicely engineered to keep you planted while attacking the corners, and the Black with yellow stitching sure looks aggressive. But those Napa leather buckets are also heated, cooled, and power adjustable to be one of the most comfortable experiences on the planet. And with less than 80 miles on the odometer, you better believe there isnt even an unwanted crease on the drivers seat. You know how new this car is, and so it has all the modern conveniences, including power windows, power locks, keyless entry/ignition, dual air bags, side airbags, and cruise control. The touchscreen infotainment system is filled with options, so it includes satellite navigation, Bluetooth, satellite radio, backup camera, front camera, Apple Carplay, and a premium audio system that is crystal clear even when the targa top is off is out and you are approaching triple-digit speeds. In fact, the modern dual zone climate control means you and you passenger can keep an individual level of cool even with the windows down and the roof out. A true drivers car, you get a grippy sports setting wheel, and just ahead of that are your gauges and a display screen that you can choose to highlight everything from your huge speed to the g-force of the corners. But it is what is under the hood that should get you really excited. The engine bay is packed with 6.2-liters or supercharge V8 power. The 650 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque makes this faster than the previous generation ZR1, and it only gets better when you take this one out on the street or track. The exterior looks like this was built for speed, and the drivetrain certainly delivers. The seven-speed transmission is designed to be a great cruiser for when you want it, and the Rev match paddle give you smooth down shifts when shifting to the lower gear. Magnetic ride control means the suspension can handle everyday commuting, and with the turn of a knob, it can become a track-focused machine that sticks better than glue. This is a full setup right down to the performance four-wheel disc brake package and Michelin performance tires.
