Especially with the well-received Advance-Design, their designation for the new truck lineup. The Advance-Design was touted as being larger, stronger, and sleeker than its predecessor, the AK Series. The same basic design was used for all iterations of the 3100 series and its success was huge. The entire duration of this generation Chevrolet remained on top in sales in the United States. Here we have a rare 50 Panel Van. Approaching this classic you see chrome glinting off the bumpers and the light shining off the blue paint. The white walls really set off the appearance. The paint has some years on it but is still in good shape and has a nice luster to it. The black vinyl interior is in great shape. Looking in on the steering wheel, dash and instrument cluster you get taken back in time. Under the hood is the Thrift Master inline 6 cylinder engine mated to a 3 speed manual transmission that we all know as “3 on the tree! Move around the back and open the rear doors you will see the wood panels on the floor, and they are in good condition. This Delivery Van was subjected to a pretty extensive restoration and rebuild some years in the past.
