VEHICLE DESCRIPTION

Used 1987 Chevrolet Camaro for sale in Kenosha, Wisconsin

Gateway Classic Cars of Milwaukee is presenting this 1987 Chevrolet Camaro Iroc-Z. The Chevy Camaro has been a staple on the American roads for over 50 years. The Camaro story started in September of 1966 when GM debuted its new F-Body cars, the Chevy Camaro and Pontiac Firebird for the 1967 model year. These new models were built for one sole reason, to take sales away from Fords very successful Mustang. The Camaro did just that! Having sold over 5 million Camaros over 6 generations, the Camaro has proven to be a worthy competitor in one of the great automotive rivalries in history. The Camaro derives from a French slag word that means pal or friend. And just like the name states, the Camaro has been a friend to Chevy fans ever since. The 1987 Camaro falls into the third generation and is one of the most iconic cars of the 1980s. The Third Gen Camaros ran from 1982 through 1993 and were well received and popular with bowtie buyers from coast to coast. Our featured Camaro has been upgraded in so many ways. Upgrades include a 5.7L V8 bored over .040 backed by a 5-speed manual transmission, professionally top end kit, new gaskets, aluminum cylinder heads, an aluminum intake, 4 core radiator, 1.5 roller rocker, 108 Cam 480/480 flat tappert lifters, new timing chain, FI-Tech self-learning electronic fuel injection. Flowmaster Exhaust set up, ceramic headers and a 3.73 Posi rear end. The car was repainted in a stunning Victory Red with black accents and a deep copper racing stripe that runs the length of the car. Accompanied by glossy black-5point alloy 16 inch rims matched with Dayton Daytona ZR radial tires. The car also features a tan interior. All necessary body work was completed prior to the new paint job. Get ready to hit the open road in this beautiful yet tough custom Camaro. This car was built to go fast and look good doing so.
