VEHICLE DESCRIPTION

Used 1929 Ford Model A for sale in Kenosha, Wisconsin

Gateway Classic Cars of Milwaukee is proud to present one of the most iconic vehicles of all time, the 1929 Ford 45A Sport Coupe. The Model A proved to be the right car at the right time replacing the quintessential Model T in the 1927 Model year. The success of the A was astonishing with over 2 million built in the first year of production and almost 3 million more being built before production ended in 1932. Ford hit a real home run with the Model A and one cant help but smile when they see this beauty. This steel body 29 is appointed in Ford Vagabond Green with straw colored pinstriping and real steel back fenders. This fun Ford also features real wire spoke wheels, a rear mounted spare tire, and a rumble seat! (How fun is that?). This particular example was restored over the course of a few years and completed in the summer of 2002 and has been owned buy the same Model A enthusiast since 1970! The car was shown in the summer of 2012 at the National Model A Restores Club meet and scored 489 points out of 500 in the Touring class bracket. Equipped with a 201 C.I. 4-cylinder motor and 3-speed sliding mesh manual transmission this little wonder sparks the hoy of the early days of motoring. During the restoration this car was updated with safety glass and its worth noting the headlights and tailight function as they should. Just imagine all the fun you will have and the smiles you will create driving this little piece of American History to the Ice Cream shop, in the 4th of July parade or the back country roads! This car is the one of the best time machines to a by gone era of flappers, two tone oxford shoes, raccoon coats Clark Gable and Lou Gehrig!
